 Sponsor | DJ-00scott | Jun 23, 2004 7:19am | | you know, there was a time when i was a maniac! rushing out and buying every single and album, getting all hot and bothered. i miss it very much. i would sit in front of the stereo completly engrossed: reading the liner notes, digging the artwork, dancing around, pretending to ROCK the prince beats: keyboards, drums, guitar--that funky ass Erotic City bass line--and i am talentless when it comes to playing music. but after the rainbow children and all that crazy internet download stuff, i sort of don't care. i'm pretty happy with all the old stuff. i've heard a little tiny bit of the musicology song on VH1 when i was flipping around the channels, but that's about it. i can't tell if i've grown up or Prince has grown up or maybe we both have. i don't know. all i know is that when i hear songs like Controversy or Head or any of the Around the World in a Day stuff--especially Sign O' the Times, i become VERY happy. i wonder what Prince would think of that? what do y'all think of that? |

I bought an Alice Cooper tape and it brought back how much I loved his music and i've gone nuts again. I'm 46 now. :) Still nuts. |
